# Benchmarks: how scores on this site are distributed

Every test on Get My Test Score keeps an anonymous histogram of the results recorded here — no names, no accounts needed, just the score. This page shows those distributions: the median, where the top 10% starts, and the bands each test page uses. They describe **players on this site**, not the general population, and they are not clinical norms. Snapshot taken 23 September 2026 from 57 recorded results across 9 tests (1 with enough data to chart). If you have taken a test on this device, your best appears against each distribution.

## How to read these numbers

A percentile here means the share of recorded results on this site that your score beats, with ties counted as half. Reaction time is the one test where lower is better, so its percentile runs the other way. Histogram buckets are 10 ms for reaction time and one unit for everything else. The multiple-choice tests (IQ, working memory, the reasoning tests) are recorded as a percentage correct, which is what their result screens show; the quick benchmarks record their raw score — milliseconds, words per minute, digits, levels.

Results are added when a signed-in player finishes a test, or anonymously when anyone else does. Nothing identifying is stored in the histogram. If you want your own history and personal bests across devices, [create a free account](/login) — your profile shows a sparkline of your last ten attempts per test and a cognitive profile across the four domains above.
