Frequently Asked Questions

What does the visual memory test measure?

It measures visual working memory — your ability to hold a spatial pattern in mind after it disappears. A set of tiles lights up briefly, then you must click the same tiles from memory. Each level adds another tile and the grid grows.

What is a good visual memory score?

Most people reach around level 8 or 9, which corresponds to remembering roughly 10 tiles at once. Level 12 and beyond is an excellent score, and level 15+ is exceptional.

How can I improve my visual memory?

Try grouping the lit tiles into shapes — an L, a diagonal, a cluster — rather than memorising each square separately. Your brain stores one shape far more easily than six separate positions.
